Kandahar is an elegant, yet casual lodge surrounded by alpine splendor atop Big Mountain. This intimate mountain inn adds romance and charm to any occasion, or solitude and relaxation to business gatherings. The quiet, comfortable surroundings of Kandahar lend special pleasure to work and play. Step out the door of the Lodge to enjoy the Big Mountain Resort. It offers world-class skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Summer brings gondola rides to the Summit, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, tennis and golf. "Walk in the Trees" is a unique adventure experience that tours the trees on a canopy boardwalk. On either side of the lobby, wide carpeted staircases lead guests to their second and third floor rooms, suites or lofts. You can choose from rooms designed for one to eight people.

Room Information:
All of our units have a private bath, color cable TV, direct dial phone, and two queen beds. The studio units have a kitchen equipped for four - range and refrigerator. There is a queen bed and sofa sleeper, color TV, telephone and bath. Connected to many of these units are the hotel units. They can be sold as one large unit with two baths - two room suite. Each studio has a queen bed, many also have an optional sofabed. The loft units have cedar paneling, pine furniture, and down comforters on the beds. The loft rooms each have three queen beds. Many loft units also have a kitchen with two queen beds and an optional sleepersofa.
